2011 Trek Women Triathlon - Pleasant Prairie:

  • The Trek Women Triathlon Series is the perfect opportunity for women from beginners to experts to compete in a sprint distance triathlon.
  • The Xxtra Mile, a women's and girls active lifestyle company that coordinates the six race Trek Women Triathlon Series (www.trekwomenstriathlonseries.com) and the seven race Danskin Triathlon Series (www.danskintriathlon.net), has been conducting women-only triathlons for more than 20 years and seen 250,000 women cross the finish line to achieve success. Their collective triathlon experience guarantee you a great sprint triathlon.

  • The Pleasant Prairie RecPlex is the largest municipal recreation facility in America.
  • Located on the shores of Lake Andrea in Prairie Springs Park, Pleasant Prairie, the beautiful facility is one of the best settings for a triathlon.

    GETTING TO THE EXPO
    Saturday, July 9th

    From the South: Take I-94 north to Exit 347 (Highway 165) Travel east on 165 Turn left on Terwall Terrace into Prairie Springs Park to the RecPlex.

    From the North: Take I-94 south to Exit 347 (Highway 165) Travel east on 165 Turn left on Terwall Terrace into Prairie Springs Park to the RecPlex.

    • Parking will be at RecPlex on Saturday for Packet Pick Up
    • Please DO NOT park on grass if wet and soft

    SATURDAY BIKE RACKING
    Saturday, July 9th 

    10:00 A.M. -5:00 P.M.

    RecPlex - Transition Area 
     

    • Saturday Bike Racking MUST take place AFTER picking up Race Materials 
    • Bike number must be affixed to your bike frame and to your bike helmet prior to racking bike. 
    • Security will be in place overnight at Transition Area. 
    • Only registered athletes are allowed in the Transition Area on Saturday & Sunday

    BIKE RACKING will be available on SATURDAY and/or SUNDAY

      

    GETTING TO RACE DAY PARKING
    Sunday, July 10th

    There is NO parking at Race Site (RecPlex) on Sunday

    Parking will be available:  

    1) At Prime Outlets
    120th Avenue, Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158

    Driving directions to PRIME OUTLETS:

    From Chicago: Take 1-94 to Exit #345 (Highway 165). Follow signs to Prime Outlets. From Milwaukee: Take 1-94 to Exit #347 (Highway 50), south on Frontage Road (120th Avenue)

    This parking location is ideal for participants who wish to "park & ride" their bikes to and from the Race site on Sunday - The distance is approximately 1.3 miles

    2) At The Shoppes at Prairie Ridge
    Southeast corner 50 th & 104 th Avenues

    Driving directions to THE SHOPPES AT PRAIRIE RIDGE:  

    From Milwaukee or Chicago: Take I-94 to Exit # 344 (Highway 50). Drive 1/3 mile east to the Shoppes at Prairie Ridge

    • Courtesy Bus Transportation from Shoppes at Prairie Ridge to Race Start will be provided from 4:00am
    • For Participants racking bikes on Sunday - PARK & RIDE your bike to Race site

    3) On-street parking, local streets

    • NO Courtesy Bus Transportation from on-street parking
    • For Participants racking bikes on Sunday - PARK & RIDE your bike to Race site

    Sunday, July 10th

    • Buses will run continually to and from The Shoppes at Prairie Ridge from
      4:00 a.m. 1:00p.m. 
    • FRIENDS, FAMILY & SUPPORTERS NOT ARRIVING WITH ATHLETES ARE ASKED TO WAIT UNTIL 7:00am TO ARRIVE AT COURTESY BUS LOCATION 
    • ATHLETES WILL BE GIVEN PRIORITY WHEN BOARDING BUSES 
    • BIKES CAN NOT BE ACCOMMODATED ON BUSES Participants racking bikes on Sunday must Park & Ride bikes to Race Site 
    • STROLLERS ARE NOT RECOMMENDED
