_ The 2018 Don Gillum Memorial Bike Hike:

The Don Gillum Memorial Bike and Hike event is a family-friendly event in memory of Don, who passed away from cancer in 2016. As an avid cyclist and supporter of the American Cancer Society Relay For Life and the Great Headwaters Trails, the two organizations have joined together to present this fundraiser for both organizations and provide a wonderful outdoor experience for all ages. Experience the NEW Conover-Phelps Trail on bike or on foot.

Experience the Conover-Phelps Trail!  Bikers can ride the beautiful route for nearly 17 miles round trip.  Hikers can take in the pristine sounds and sights from the trail during their choice of a 2.5 mile or a 5-mile hike.  A shuttle will provide transportation to and from the hiking route and for those needing a "shorter" walking option.

• Registration and Check-in/Packet Pick-up from 8 am to 8:45 am

Includes event shirt*, goodie bag, door prize ticket for child's bike and lunch

By June 25 - $35 Adult, $20 Child Age 6-17, Free Child 5 and under

After June 25 - $40 Adult, $25 Child Age 6-17, Free Child 5 and under

*Shirt and size cannot be guaranteed for registrations after June 25

• Opening Ceremony 8:45 am
• Bike/Hike begins at 9:15 am
• Don Gillum Memorial Bench Dedication at Dedication Site at 10:30 am
• Live Music in the Park
• Lunch Served in the Park from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm
• Door Prize Drawing for Child's Bike 12:30 pm (Must be present to win)

Additionally, everyone may enjoy any or all parts of the trail at their leisure, throughout the day, and throughout the summer!

We recommend all bikers wear an ANSI helmet.

Proceeds from this event will support the American Cancer Society research and patient services, and help the Great Headwaters Trails complete the last two miles to the trail.
