The Gull Lake Triathlon was one of the very first triathlons held in Michigan, and the community is thrilled to bring it back to the area for the first time in 18 years. Previous competitors include "Wingnut" Wendy Ingraham of the unforgettable "crawl" from the 1997 Ironman Hawaii, as well as Tom Demerly, owner of the former BikeSport Michigan.
Beginners should also take notice. The Gull Lake Triathlon is also available in two and three person relays. It's a great way to lead your way into the multi-sport arena.
The triathlon is held on the 4th of July weekend, and it will most definitely be a gorgeous and exciting beginning in celebration of a spectacular and unforgettable holiday.
Course Information:
SWIM: The swim course will be a triangle shape with a long leg parellel to the shoreline out from the Ross Township Park Beach into Gull Lake.
BIKE: The bike course heads out of the park and north on B Avenue to 40th Street. It then continues through the Baseline Road "S curve" and through Hickory Corners. The course continues north to Gilkey Lake Road for the turnaround, going back to the park.

RUN: The run course goes straight into the Kellogg Biological Station from Ross Township Park, and then continuing up to Gull Lake Drive and Burlington. This brings runners to the turnaround, where they head back to Ross Township Park and the finish line.
