Why do folks return to the Whidbey Island Triathlon year after year? An incredibly scenic course; friendly volunteers; the fun, small-town feel of our community cheering you on, whether you're first or last; distances suitable for beginner triathletes and still challenging for experienced triathletes.
Course: This course starts with a 0.5 mile swim in a beautiful lake on South Whidbey Island. Leaving the lake on bike, you'll begin the 19.5 mile ride through paved country roads. The bike course is hilly with views of Saratoga Passage and the North Cascades. You'll finish with a 3.8 mile run through forest trails at Community Park and on country roads.
Details: Event limit of 300 bikes. Chip timing by BuDu Racing.
Awards: Top male and female overall in the triathlon will receive trophies. Top 3 in 5-year divisions will receive neck medals. Top 3 males and females in Orca division will receive neck medals. First place in each relay team division will receive neck medals.
Post Race: After the race enjoy replenishing snacks & drinks during the awards ceremony and race results. Results will be available after the race at BuDu Racing's website.
