Whether you're a veteran triathlete or a first-time participant, the Triathlon Club at CMU invites you to CMU's SEVENTH EVER indoor triathlon! Its a perfect race for athletes of all abilities who are looking to challenge themselves. Not only will you be able to challenge your own limits and have a lifetime of bragging rights, but you will also be helping the Triathlon Club at CMU raise money to keep the sport of triathlon in the middle of the mitten!
You will need to sign up for one of nine "waves," which all start in increments of 25 minutes apart, from 7:30 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. A maximum of 10 participants will be allowed in each wave. If you are late for your wave, we will be forced to start without you. Participants must be on time for their their start time.
The format of the race is as follows:
20 minute swim, swimming as many laps as possible.
5 minute transition period
20 minute ride on a stationary bike, biking as far as possible
5 minute transition period
20 minute run, completing as many laps around the track as possible
FINISH!
Our volunteers will be in charge of keeping track of all your distances. Then, each distance will be put into a program which will weigh the three disciplines accordingly and determine the finishing places.
Awards will also be given to top age group and collegiate finishers!
