DISTANCE
Half Iron: 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run
Aqua Bike: 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike
Sprint: ¼ mile swim, 22 mile bike, 5K run
THE COURSE
Swim Course
The swim is in Lake Winnebago along a unique and panoramic shoreline; starting and finishing at the beach. Plenty of buoys will be available to rest if needed. Large balloon arch to sight for the swim finish.
Bike Course
Both courses head out of the park climbing High Cliff. High Cliff is the signature of the event. The course flat with a few undulating hills. The long course heads down scenic Lake Shore Drive. The sprint course begins the same as the long course then heads east on Faro Springs and finishes on the same long course.
Run Course
The run courses go through High Cliff State Park area including up the hill for a beautiful overview of the Lake Winnebago shoreline which runs mostly through trails. The long course is a triple loop and also heads down High Cliff to the finish.
PERKS
We provide technically sound, safe, and exciting events. Participants receive a dri-wick shirt, swim cap, food, and fun after the event. Half Iron receive a medal and water bottles on the bike course.
AWARDS
Awards given to the overall male/female and traditional age divisions.
This event is part of the Aurora BayCare Series which offers additional prizes.
