2010 AquaRun & Swim for a Child:
Course Information:
Race will start promptly at 9:30am after a leisurely stroll from Les Davis Marine Park to the off-shore start line at Jack Hyde Park.
The AquaRun 2K (1.2 mile) swim will start with two waves for the AquaRun, at slack tide, in a straight line 1.2 miles (2K) to Marine Park.
Upon exiting the swim and after transitioning to the run, the 5K (3.1 mile) course will head east 1.55 miles on the right side of the hill side lane of Ruston Way, to just over the overpass near Jack Hyde Park, circle around and return 1.55 miles west back staying on the runners right side of the hill side lane of Ruston Way. Run finishes on Ruston Way.
A separate 2K (1.2 mile) swim only event will start in two separate waves approximately 30 minutes after the start of the AquaRun. Slower swimmers will have the benefit of the tide change.
Wetsuits are mandatory for all swims.
