• BreakAway Kids Tri is a new adventure-based triathlon just for kids ages 7-17.
• It's coming to one of Minnesota's finest parks on Saturday, August 23, 2014.
• It won't be any ordinary swim, bike, and run race though.
• Along the way, kid will encounter some surprises to challenge their creativity and toughness in fun and dynamic ways.
• This adventure is being built just for kids by the same team who previously created and led the world's largest fundraising triathlon for kids.

Course Information:
• The event will take place at Lake Elmo Park Reserve.
• The swim will take place in Minnesota's largest man-made chlorinated lake and the bike and run portion will take place on the beautiful trails around the lake and in the park reserve.
• There are two different race courses to choose from: the Super Sprint and the Mega Challenge.
• The Super Sprint is a straight course, where kids will be able to touch the bottom of the lake the whole time and bike and run on paved surfaces.
• This course is for kids who are participating in their first triathlon or who want to give our event a try but aren't sure about the obstacles that our Mega Challenge will have.
• The Mega Challenge is a first-of-its-kind course that will have obstacles along the way.
• This course is for kids who love to be active and challenge themselves in new ways.
• Both courses are sure to be fun for all!

The BreakAway Kids Tri is led by 6-time world champion triathlete Tony Schiller, whose events have seen more kids finish their first triathlon than any other race director in America.
