2010 Camp Courageous Sprint Triathlon:
Camp Courageous of Iowa will be hosting the First Annual Camp Courageous of Iowa Sprint Triathlon, Sunday, August 1, 2010, 7:30 am. All net proceeds will go to Camp Courageous. Camp Courageous is a non for profit corporation which operates entirely on donations.
Race Expo with vendors during packet pickup Saturday, July 31st from 3pm to 7pm
Race entry will include a Pre-Event dinner, scheduled at Camp Courageous on Saturday, July 31, 2010, 5:00-7:00 pm. Family and friends are welcome to attend with a $5 donation.
This race will be part of the Heart of America Triathlon Series!
Course Information:
Transportation will be provided for athletes and spectators to/from the swim start location from Camp Courageous.
- The 500-yard swim will take place at Central Park Lake, near Amber in Jones County.
- The 17-mile bike leg will be a point-to-point ride between Central Park and Camp Courageous.
- The 5K run will cover both open roads and trails within Camp Courageous.
Directions:
Camp Courageous is located at 12007 190th Street, Monticello, IA 52310. From US Highway 151, take exit 65 and follow the signs. The camp is located about five miles south-west of Monticello.

Camp Courageous of Iowa is a year-round respite care and recreation facility for individuals of all ages with disabilities. Camp Courageous, is a not for profit corporation, which operates entirely on donations and serves over 5,000 campers annually.
