Due to the Covid-19 global pandemic, the Camp Courageous Sprint Triathlon has made the difficult decision to not conduct a physical triathlon for 2020. But that does not mean we’ve been sitting around doing nothing! In fact we’ve been busier than ever developing a special event to continue what our purpose has been from day one – To raise funds for and awareness of the great work done everyday at Camp Courageous in Monticello, Iowa, a camp for people of all ages with disabilities.
Course Information:
Distances for the 2020 Camp Courageous Sprint Triathlon will be:
SWIM – 500 yards – held in the 65 acre lake at the Prairie Park Fishery
BIKE – 15.5 miles – held along Otis Rd SE and nearby streets in Cedar Rapids
RUN – 3.4 miles – dual-loop around the 65 acre lake
Directions:
This event starts at Prairie Park Fishery. This city park is located on the southeast side of Cedar Rapids where the Sac and Fox trails meet, along with the Prairie Park Fishery Loop (hard surface trail loops around the 65 acre lake).
