One Tough Cookie : Women Only |
Obstacle/Mud Runs : 3.1 miles with mud and unique obstacles |
One Tough Cookie is a fun and exciting muddy 5k obstacle course made just for women ages 14 & up by Operation Iraqi Freedom Women Veterans! You don't have to be a super athlete to finish this event; women of any athletic ability and fitness level will be challenged by the course. One Tough Cookie isn't a timed event so you don't have to feel rushed!
One Tough Cookie has two goals:
First: To inspire and motivate women to challenge themselves and their bodies by doing something out of the ordinary! One Tough Cookie allows you a small escape from reality where you get to be a kid again and roll in mud puddles and get grass stains, only this time no one is going to yell at you for getting dirty!
Second: To help the Girl Scouts raise money so they can continue to fund initiatives that will help develop our next generation of strong women leaders. Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
We are proud to call this race 100% charitable and 100% local since all proceeds will go to benefit the Girl Scouts of Wisconsin - Badgerland Council which serves 12,500 girls and 4,000 adult volunteers from all socio-economic, ethnic, racial, religious, rural and urban populations.
The registration fee will cover: mud, mud and a little more mud! In addition, you'll take home an authentic One Tough Cookie dry wick racer shirt, a free drink, and other fun girl stuff! Our festive after race celebration includes live music so you can revel in your muddy wetness! And if that's not enough you have the privilege of knowing you are participating in the only mud run around that is 100% charitable and local, with all proceeds benefiting Girl Scouts.
Form a troop (team) and have more fun! Troops can be any size, but isn't everything better in larger volumes? We think so too, so its ok to drag your friends along with you!
Finishers will receive a very tough necklace at the end of the race to show off to their friends. We will also have awards for the Largest Troop, the Best Troop Name, the Best Troop Costume, the Best Individual Costume, the Participant that Traveled the Farthest and maybe a few others! What will you win? Cookies of course, this is a Girl Scout benefit after all!
East Troy is conveniently located within a one hour drive from Madison, Milwaukee, Rockford and Northern Chicago suburbs.
