2009 Fast Tracks for Africa 5k:

The second annual Fast Tracks for Africa 5k will be held on Saturday, October 24th along the banks of the beautiful Charles River near Harvard University.

Check-in begins at 12:00 PM and the race starts at 1:00 PM.

The Harvard College Alliance for Africa (HCAA) is a registered student group of Harvard College and works with both local African partner agencies and international organizations to implement sustainable programs for education in Africa's remote rural areas and urban slums.

All proceeds from this race will go directly to support the New Hope Orphanage in Busia, Uganda.

Course Information:

The race will start and finish in the field area at the corner of JFK Street and Memorial Drive.

The course will follow the bike path that runs along Memorial Drive in the direction of Arsenal Bridge.

This is an out and back 5 kilometer course.

Directions:

Check-in will take place near the start at the corner of JFK Street and Memorial Drive.

Other Info:

Each participant will receive a free T-shirt on the day of the race.
