2009 SpookyDu Duathlon:
"SpookyDu", the end-of-season duathlon is scheduled for October 25, 2009 at Weldon Springs State Park - 2:00 PM start time.
This year's course is different than last year in that the bike will feature a south loop course after exiting the park.
Run 1 will still consist of a 1.8 mile loop around the park run in a clockwise direction, while Run 2 will reverse the course and double the distance: 3.6 miles run counterclockwise.
Lengthening shadows & rustling, colorful fall leaves make this a spectacular setting for a late-autumn race, with the bike course offering plenty of challenges without the long, into-the-wind out-and-back from last year's race.
This is a professional, championship-chip timed race in a absolutely gorgeous, natural setting!
We will have a huge bon-fire celebration with weenie & marshmallow roast after the race in the park!

Course Information:
Run 1: One, clockwise 1.8 mile loop around the lake and natural prairie areas of Weldon Springs State Park.
Bike: One 20.8 loop south of Weldon Springs State Park. Check out the bike course at: walkjogrun.net
Run 2: Two counter-clockwise loops of the intial 1.8 loop (3.6 miles) for a different and challenging final leg of the duathlon through the prairie and lake terrain.

Directions:
From South: Take US 51 to Clinton, turn right at the frist light (S. Grant St. or US 51 Business), then first right and follow the signs.
From North: Take US 51 to south side of Clinton, turn left on S. Grant St. (US 51 Business) then first right & follow signs.
Race HQ: It will be located east of the Start/Finish line and marked by signs.
Parking: This is available east of the Race HQ by the lake.
