On August 25th, 2013, triathletes from around North America will find out what it takes to be a Superior Man!
The 2nd annual Superior Man Triathlon will challenge even the heartiest of endurance athletes as they Escape from the Vista Fleet into the Bay of Lake Superior.
The Superior Man Triathlon is a half distance triathlon of 70.3 miles featuring a 1.2 mile point to point swim from the Vista Fleet to Bayfront Festival Park, and fast bike and run courses along the scenic North Shore of Lake Superior of 56 and 13.1 miles.
The transition area inside Amsoil Arena and finish line under the arches of Bayfront Park are just feet apart, set against the beautiful backdrop of Lake Superior and Duluths Aerial Lift Bridge.

2013 Superior Man Course Information:
The Superior Man Triathlon is the newest addition on the adventure triathlon scene with an exhilarating 70.3-mile triathlon that will be challenging, yet fun.
Racers begin on the Vista Fleet cruise ships to start a 1.2 mile swim to Amsoil Arena.
After a quick indoor transition, the race leads racers on a 56 mile loop stretching up the North Shore of Lake Superior.
Finally, a 3-loop half marathon on the lakewalk and in Canal Park will bring racers to the finish line.
