The 2012 YMCA Youth Triathlon Series offers six competitive events, each featuring swimming, biking and running. Each course is chipped time and provides the athletes an opportunity to improve at each event. Children participating in a minimum of three events will be eligible to compete for the YMCA Youth Triathlon Series Championship. There are 4 age divisions: Bantam division 5 & under consists of a 25 yards swim, a 1.0 mile bike and a 1/4 mile run; Junior division 6-8 consists of a 50 yards swim, a 2.0 mile bike and a 500 yards run; Intermediate division 9-11 consists of a 150 yards swim, a 4.0 mile bike and a 1 mile run; Senior division 12-15 consists of a 300 yards swim, a 8.0 mile bike and a 2 mile run. Entry fees are $35 for Y family members, $40 for Y youth members and $50 for non-Y members.
