Oak Island Parks & Recreation is sponsoring the 3rd annual Team or Individual Turtle Triathlon race to be held around Oak Island on May 19th beginning at 8am. Insividuals or Team of three persons, will kayak -1.87 miles, ride bikes-2.5 miles, and run/walk-1 mile, a course from the Recreation Center to Middleton Park. There are various age divisions along with family and a business division. The race is part of the 1st Crawl Environmental Festival and proceeds benefit the Oak Island Sea Turtle Protection Program.
