Course Information:
SUNDAY, INTERNATIONAL DISTANCE TRI
USAT Sanctioned courses. The 1500 meter swim is an open water swim in Lake El Reno. Triangle course (This may be a 1 or 2 loop swim course, 2011 was a 2-loop with a short beach run. Wetsuits should be permitted, lake temperature should approximately be mid 70s. Watch message board at http://www.triokc.org/ for lake temperature updates.
The 40K bike course is an out and back, 2-loop version of the sprint course, the majority being on Route 66, relatively flat with some slight inclines.
The 10K run course is flat and winding asphalt road, (2-loop) out and back course.
New addition in 2009 on Sunday is the Route 66 International distance Aquabike (swim-bike, only). Same course as the International Distance Triathlon, but you dont have to run!
