Triathlon : 300 yard pool Swim, 10 mile Bike, 5K Run |
After the 300 yard swim, athletes will exit the pool area to the outside transition area.
The bike course was redesigned in 2009 and is now a much flatter and faster track. Athletes will ride along the scenic Pigeon River and through farmlands before heading back to the race site on a two-lane highway. The roads will be open to the public so all participants are urged to be alert to traffic. All intersections with a traffic light and/or turn will have law enforcement or fire departments stopping traffic.
The run will go in and out of a beautiful little cove that features rolling terrain. Runners will stay on the right side of the road for the run. While the road will be open to traffic, most of the course is lightly traveled.
GPS Coordinates: 35 degrees 31 39.37 North, 82 degrees 56 32.78 West
