2012 Atomic Duathlon & Sprint Triathlon
The Atomic Duathlon adds a triathlon! Choices of events now include a triathlon with 500 mtr S - 30K B - 5K R. Both events provide athletes great challenging and scenic courses.
Enjoy the fall colors during the 5K runs and 30K bike.
Wildlife abounds in this rural yet easily accessible area - beaver, deer, ground hogs, etc.
No guns on TVA property or courses, cameras OK! Camping on-site and numerous hotels and restaurants within 5 miles in Lenoir |

Course Info:

Both run courses use the TVA Melton Hill Park roads for the out and back 5K runs.
Aid stations will be passed each mile of this rolling course.
The bike course is also an adjusted out and back on rural roads within Lenoir City and Roane Counties (Hwy. 95 and Bear Creek Roads). Terrain is a mix of hills and flats.
No aid stations on bike.
Swim in cool, clean Melton Hill Lake. Most likely will be wetsuit legal.

RACE LOCATION-
The TVA Melton Hill Recreation Area is located outside Lenoir City, TN just off Hwy 321/95.
The race site is about 30 miles West of Knoxville.
From I-40 exit #364 towards Oak Ridge approximately 1/2 mile to park entrance on your RIGHT.
The three large parking lots are 1.3 miles into the park on the LEFT before the dam hill.
Camping on site is $14 night/ per site. Hot showers!
