2012 Heart & S.O.U.L. Row, Ride, Run Triathlon:

  • Row Ride Run is a fun, dynamic race that challenges the intermediate to expert racer with a hilly bike and scenic trail run.
  • At the same time the triathlon is great for newcomers as swimming is replaced with a fun paddle in the East Lake of Winona on the base of the gorgeous Mississippi Valley bluffs.
  • All proceeds benefit a student group, Serving Others United in Love (SOUL), dedicated to engaging students of Saint Mary's University of MN in meaningful service and work towards the common good.

Course Information:

Canoe/Kayak Course
2.5-mile loop around Lake Winona, starting at the west end of the lake

Bike Course
14 miles of paved path beginning at Lake Winona, following highways 61 and 43 to Gilmore Valley Road and ending on the Saint Mary's campus

Run Course
3.1 miles of trail through the bluffs surrounding the Saint Mary's campus

Directions:

  • The race begins at Lake Lodge on the North side of the Large East Lake in the center of Winona, MN off of Highway 61.
  • The finish line is the center of the athletic complex of Saint Mary's University of Minnesota.
  • Other Info:

    • The paddle is a unique way to encourage more people to become racers by eliminating the most often intimidating event, swimming.
    • The bike includes a long, gradual up hill followed by a well earned downhill through the majestic Gilmore Creek Valley.
    • The run is mostly trail and winds around the sloping bluffs.
    • A limited number of canoes and kayaks are available from the race organizers.
    • This race is a good warm-up for the experienced racer and a great way to introduce beginning racers to triathlons
    • We hope to see you there!
