2011 Suits, Spokes and Soles:

  • Suits, Spokes and Soles, presented by Multisport in Motion, encourages healthy lifestyle choices through multisport with an emphasis on fun! The Washington D.C. Kids Triathlon Clinic Series is geared for youth (ages 11 15 years old) and juniors (ages 16 19 years old).
  • The summer clinic series will focus on swimming basics, open water swim strategy, bike safety and skills, running techniques, nutrition, race preparation, equipment needs and transition tips. After each information session, young athletes will participate in a short training session and group workout with their new training partners.
  • The clinics run over the summer months allowing the child to put their learning into action at a local area August goal race including the USAT Mid-Atlantic Region Youth Championships.

  • Multisport In Motion has teamed up with our friends, Carderock Springs Swimming and Tennis Club and Wave One Swimming, to provide this USAT-sanctioned event.
  • Carderock Springs Swimming and Tennis Club is located at 8200 Hamilton Spring Court, Bethesda, MD 20817. It is conveniently located right off of 495 at the Maryland/Virginia border. In conjunction with Wave One Swimming, a safe, contained open water swim will be held at National Harbor, National Harbor MD 20745.

  • Get all 5 clinics and the practice triathlon for $189.
  • Parents are welcome to attend all clinics and events.
  • Previous triathlon experience is not required, but children should be able to swim 50 yards, ride any type of bike, and run for 10 minutes continuously.

    Other Info:

The Washington DC Kids Triathlon Clinic Series, 'Suits, Spokes & Soles,' is a USA Triathlon Sanctioned Event. Participants must be current USA Triathlon Youth or Adult Members. You will be prompted to enter your child's USAT Youth or Adult Membership number and expiration date during registration. If your child is not a current USAT Youth or Adult Member or their membership expires before the date of this event, you will be asked to purchase an annual youth membership for $5 (under the age of 17) or a one-time only one-day membership fee to cover the entire series for $10 (17 years old and up) during registration.

Previous triathlon experience is not required, but children should be able to swim 50 yards, ride any type of bike, and run for 10 minutes continuously.

There is no rain date for the clinics or practice triathlon.  We will make all efforts to hold the clinic with the exception of unsafe, inclement weather. In most cases, we have access to an indoor area to, at least, do the informational session.

All practice triathlon distances are approximate.
