The course consists of a 1500-M swim in Knik Lake, a 40-K bike, and a 10-K run. - - - The duathlon features an initial 5-k run leg designed to bring duathletes back to the transition area about the same time as the triathletes exit the water. - - -

Directions:

From Anchorage, take the Glenn Hwy north to Wasilla. From Wasilla, take S. Knik-Goosbay road south for approximately 13 miles to the Knik Bar on the shore of Kink Lake. Park in the Knik Bar parking lot. [LI]Dont follow the Google driving directions; simply stay on Knik-Goosebay Road.- - -
