_ 2017 Flowers Plantation Sprint Tri:
Join us, September 9th for the 5th Leg of our Races for Charity Series and the 3rd Annual Sprint Triathlon at Flowers Plantation. The event will start off with a Flagpole Moment of Reverence for those who perished September 11th, 2001… a day Americans will never forget.
The night before the event, we will have an Event Check-In and Packet Pick-up where dinner will be served. Come on out and mix and mingle with your fellow competitors.
Saturday morning, participants will start out with a 300-yard pool swim followed by a 16 mile bike ride through some of the most picturesque scenery that rural Eastern North Carolina has to offer.
Transitioning to the finale, the USATF-certified 5K course will take you through the historical plantation site while seeing the various types of comfort living that residents enjoy.
Wrap up the fun-filled day with a Triathletes-and-Supporters-only pool social providing a great setting to recap the challenges of the event.
This is a great event for both the beginner triathlete as well as those more experienced wanting a unique challenge.
Our charity of choice for this activity is the Veterans Emergency Relief Fund ... they really could use our help!
