The Middlebury Maple Run--The Sweetest Half is a USATF-certified half marathon and 2-person relay, and new for 2017, a 3-mile fun run. Beautiful, scenic routes with views of the Green Mountains and Adirondacks. 50/50 mix of paved and dirt roads for the half marathon, all paved for 3-mile fun run. Well organized, great t-shirts, live music on course, post-race pancake breakfast with Vermont maple syrup. One of New England’s “must do” races.
All races start at 9 a.m.
Packet Pickup: You have two opportunities to pick up your bib number and t-shirt:
Directions: Race headquarters are at the Middlebury Regional EMS, 55 Collins Drive, Middlebury
Water Stops: There are five water stops on the course: Mile 3.2 (Morgan Horse Farm), Mile 5 (Sheep Farm Road & Weybridge St), Mile 7 (relay exchange), Mile 9.5 & 11.5 (South Street Ext. out and back).
Potties: There are plenty of porta-potties in the start/finish area. There are additional potties located along the course at Mile 2 (just past Pulp Mill Covered Bridge), Mile 7 (relay exchange zone) and Mile 10.5 (near the turnaround).
Parking & Shuttle Buses: There is plenty of free parking within walking distance of the starting line. Free shuttle to/from Middlebury Inn.
Bag Check: There is free bag check adjacent to the finish line. All bags must be checked.
Post-Race Pancake Breakfast: Free for runners. Additional family and friends can purchase tickets for $10 adults/$5 child.
Showers: Available at Middlebury Fitness at 175 Wilson Road, Middlebury.
