2011 Gunter's Grunt & Grind Adventure Race:

Gunter's Grunt and Grind is returning in 2011.

A 4-6 hour adventure race including trail runnning, mountain biking, paddling, and orienteering. You will also encounter some mystery challenges along the way.

This is a fundraiser for the Ogden House, a non-profit teen shelter operated by www.tvfsahome.net an affiliate of SafePlace.

Course Information:

The course will take park on the well-maintained trails at Lake Guntersville State Park. The trail running is on rugged terrain and follows flat paths to moderate climbs. The mountain bike course has some technincal challenges but is novice friendly. The paddling is on flat water but may require unique ability to perform undisclosed challenges. Challenges will be revealed in pre-race briefing on the morning of the event.

4-6 miles of trailrunning

6-8 miles of mountain biking

2 miles paddling

Plus "mystery" challenges. ~ ~ ~
