The Swamp Romp is Hawaii's oldest mud run and has been making you muddy on MCB Hawaii for the past 23 years!!! This unique run crafted by the Marine Corps finest takes you through the Nu'upia Ponds and over/under tactical obstacles that challenge the strongest of competitors. It was the first, it is the best- THE SWAMP ROMP.
Register as an individual or as a team of 5-6 members (must finish with no less than 5 team members). The minimum age to participate in this event is 10 years of age. Teams with children ages 10-13 need to have at least one adult (person 18 or over) on the team. NO PETS OR STROLLERS ARE ALLOWED IN THIS EVENT !
NON-DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE (non- DoD) PARTICIPANTS MUST REGISTER NO LATER THAN 10 DAYS PRIOR TO THE EVENT.
The MILITARYINDIVIDUAL entry fee will be $45.00. CIVILIAN INDIVIDUAL entry fee will be $50.00. MILITARY TEAM entry fee will be $145.00 and CIVILIAN TEAM entry fee will be $150.00. Late registration begins Feb. 4. An additional $10.00 for individuals and $15.00 for a team will be charged. All entries must be received by Tuesday, 7 February 2017. All registrations are non-refundable. BE SURE TO REGISTER EARLY AS T-SHIRTS ARE NOT GUARANTEED DURING LATE REGISTRATION.
Mandatory packet pickup will take place at the Health and Fitness Expo on Friday, 10 February 2017, at Kahuna's on MCB Hawaii from 4:00pm to 6:30pm. Timing chips and race packets will be distributed at the Fitness Expo. It is your responsibility to keep track of the timing chip and bib number for the race. WE WILL NOT PROVIDE REPLACEMENT CHIPS ON RACE DAY. Packets will not be available for pickup on race day.
All participants MUST SUBMIT A SIGNED WAIVER FORM IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THEIR PACKETS AT THE HEALTH AND FITNESS EXPO. Waiver forms are mandatory and must be signed by all team members. Please print the waiver from this listing or www.mccshawaii.com/swampromp, have all team members sign it and bring it to packet pick-up on February 10.
WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND that race participants consider both the environment and the course when choosing race attire. Please WEAR PANTS and shoes that protect your ankles, such as boots. If you choose to wear low top shoes, it is likely that they will come off in the mud if not properly secured. We ask that participants do not use duct tape as it comes off on the course and is harmful to the environment.
