The 2nd annual biathlon & 5k take place on a scenic course at and around Codorus State Park in Hanover PA, just as the leaves are starting to change.  The biathlon is a 2 mile flat road run, a 12 mile not flat bike ride with views of the lake from many angles, ending with a 2 mile road & trail run through the park.

The 5k is a combination road & trail run (mostly trail) through the park and along the lake!

Event details and schedule

Both the biathlon and 5k will start promptly at 9am.

AGE GROUPS:  Same for male & female:  20 & under, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61 and up.

AWARDS:  Top female and male from each age group will receive an award.
                   One overall winner for the entire male division and one overall winner of the entire                              female division.

2 PERSON RELAY:  1 rides bike, 1 runs both legs of 2 mile run.  Categories for relay:  male/male, female/female & male/female.  No age groups for relays.

Parking is available in the park near the start/finish lines, and signs will be posted for registration tables, packet pickup, bathrooms/jiffy johns, post race food & water/drink tent for participants & emergency personnel.  DUE TO BEING HELD IN A STATE PARK, ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE NOT PERMITTED. 

Packet pickup will be held on Friday evening, 9/30 from 5-7:30pm at Dutch Country Restaurant parking lot, 946 Baltimore St, Hanover PA; also on race day from 7:30-8:45am at race location.  IDENTIFICATION IS REQUIRED TO PICK UP PACKET.  EACH PARTICIPANT MUST PICKUP THEIR OWN RACE PACKET.

RAFFLE TICKETS WILL BE SOLD EITHER AT FRIDAY NIGHT PACKET PICKUP OR BY CALLING RANDY BRADY AT 717-965-6111.  WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SELL THESE TICKETS AT THE STATE PARK, SO PLEASE GET YOUR TICKETS AHEAD OF TIME.  LAST YEAR WE HAD GREAT PRIZES, SO YOU WON'T WANT TO MISS OUT!  COST IS $1 EACH OR 3 FOR $5.

ALL PARTICIPANTS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 MUST HAVE PARENT OR GUARDIAN SIGN REGISTRATION & WAIVER FORMS.

HELMETS MUST BE WORN ANYTIME YOU ARE IN CONTACT WITH YOUR BIKE - NOT JUST RIDING IT.

BABY JOGGERS OR STROLLERS, PETS, SKATE BOARDS, ROLLER BLADES OR HEADPHONES ARE NOT ALLOWED.
