Bimbo Bakeries is hosting its 2nd Annual Global Energy Race on September 25, 2016.
37 Cities, 22 Countries, 1 Race

Orlando has been chosen this year to be one of the lucky cities in the U.S. that will be participating in this global event. The Sunshine State is excited to host its first Global Energy race this year at Festival Park. Festival Park is a popular outdoor venue used for concerts and other big events, located in downtown Orlando.
This first year event is for everyone: competitive runners, casual walkers, families, friends, and everyday joggers looking to come out and participate in Bimbo's heathly active lifestyle initiative.
The race will have; music, motivational announcers, scenic routes, cool down recovery zone, refueling snacks, games, commemorative swag, Osito, and much more!

10K Individual:
$20.00 early registration (June 1st - June 30th)

Packet pick-up will be held beforehand but location is TBD.
Course Info:
The 10K is a USATF certified course. Chip timing will be used for this distance.
The race kicks off at Festival Park making its way throughout the streets of beautiful downtown Orlando. Runners will journey for miles along palm tree lined streets and make their way around Lake Underhill, a pictureque 1.3 mile trail looping around a charming downtown lake. Participants will finish back at Festival Park where they will be able to cool down within the free post race recovery zone.

Parking will be available onsite at Festival Park.

All participants will receive:
* Awards will be given to the top (3) male and female 10K finishers
10K FIRST PLACE PRIZING
The following awards will be made available:
One (1) First Place Men’s and one (1) First Place Women’s Award:
Trip for winner and one (1) guest to participate in the 2016 Global Energy Race of his/her choice in one of the following cities: Beijing, Panamá, Lima, Tegucigalpa, Monterrey, Managua, Santiago, Mexico City, Bogotá, Asunción, Belo Horizonte, San Salvador, Madrid, Guatemala, Guadalajara, Caracas, Buenos Aires, Lisbon, Philadelphia, San José, Montevideo, or Long Beach, USA.
Trip includes round-trip air transportation in regular economy class departing from the winner´s closest international airport to the destination chosen, 3-star hotel accommodations (two nights and three days) in a standard room with 2 double beds (double occupancy); and breakfast, lunch and dinner while on trip (exact location and cost of each meal to be determined by Bimbo Bakeries USA and its subsidiaries, in their sole discretion).
