The NTC Lace It Up Series is a progressive race series, offering a distance for every level of runner or walker. For novice runners, it's a great program to increase your mileage. For experienced runners, challenge yourself to a PR at each distance this summer and set yourself up to be in shape for the Fall race season. Starting with the 2 Mile in June and culminating with the 10K in September, each race will be chip timed and offer a finisher medal. Complete the entire race series as a Serial Lacer - the 2 Mile, 5K and 10K - and earn a customized Tervis tumbler!

Each race will start and finish on the NTC campus. With each race, the course expands to encompass more of the NTC and Southlake campus, eventually incorporating the local South Lake Trail.

Event details and schedule

The Caped Crusader 5K starts at 7:00 AM on Saturday, July 16th. The course will be primarily sidewalk and the South Lake Trail. Please note, it is not a closed course, meaning the Trail is still open to public use. Please exercise running/walking etiquette and stay to the right, allowing faster traffic to pass on the left.

If you're looking for flat terrain, this is not the race for you. We're in Clermont...there will be hills.

PACE MAXIMUMS

All participants must maintain a 15 minute per mile pace. This pace is applicable to all of the events.

AWARDS & SWAG

For the Caped Crusader 5K, awards will be given to the first, second, and third male/female overall and top masters male and female. All finishers will receive a finisher medal.

The NTC Lace it Up Series will offer different brag swag and finisher medals for each race.
