- The East Lyme Bike & BBQ offers 5 courses of various difficulty for serious and recreational cyclists alike. Come on down for a fun day of riding along the scenic roads of Southeastern Connecticut. All rides start and end at the beautiful Rocky Neck State Park. The event will start at 7 AM (for the longest rides) on October 1st and will end at 5 PM. All registered cyclists will receive a meal from Mago Point Smokehouse once they complete their course. A separate food package will also be offered to spectators for a reduced price. The food will be available from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. All rides cost $65 but will bump up to $75 the week prior to the event. Cost for entry per person will be $60 for riders who sign up in teams of 5 or more. T-shirts will be guaranteed to all those who register before September 1st and custom Bike & BBQ water bottles will be guaranteed for the first 500 registrants. This ride is hosted by East Lyme Parks and Recreation and proceeds will support the societies of East Lyme and Niantic that preserve the open spaces and historical places of this community.
