_ 2017 Cocoa Beach Triathlon:
- The Ron Jon Cocoa Beach Triathlon has distinguised itself as one of Coastal Florida's favorite early season triathlons. The event is ideal for both first-timers and veteran triathletes. The race has twice been a national Top 3 finalist for International Triathlon Business award for "Best First-Timer's Race." Typically, about 1/4 of the field is made up of first timers.
The race also features a relay division for female, male and mixed teammates.
The event has sold out with a 600 entrant field for the past 3 years. It is a fun event with a live band and great after party atmosphere at a riverfront pavillion.
Course Information:
The swim is held in a protected cover of the Banana River and has more than a dozen lifeguards and water support in the water.
The bike ride is completely flat and an out and back course on historic coastal State Road A1A. The 4-lane road is open to traffic but traffic is very light with the Sunday morning race time. The bike course has good signage and excellent police and volunteer support along the route.
The run course is along the cart path of the Cocoa Beach Golf Course and throughout the Country Club's riverfront neighborhood. There is good community support along the run route.

It is 0.2 miles from the transition area.
Event participants and guests are subject to towing if parked at the golf course.
• Helmets must be worn if bike riding from parking to the transition area.
• Parents will not be allowed to drop off children at the transition area prior to parking.
