- This is the 15th Annual event held at Crown Hill Cemetery to raise scholarship funds for students pursuing a career in Public Safety. It honors Jason Baker, a Marion County Sheriff who was killed in the line of duty on Septemeber 18, 2001. In addition to prizes for the overall winners of both sexes, there are age division awards and team awards for both public safety and civilian teams. A 1.5 mile Family stroll is also offered to those who want to walk thru the beautiful cemetery in support of this cause, but don't feel like they can complete the full 5k course.
Course Information:
Both the 5k and 1.5 mile routes are entirely within Crown Hill Cemetery and go by the Heros of Public Safety Monument.
Directions:
The cemetery entrance is at 700 West 38th Street in Indianapolis.
