- Vikings Helping Vikings, Inc. is designed to feed the roots of our community, our youth! We firmly believe that there is not a better investment that you could make. You can help us to make this organization prosper and provide funding for our students in need. With the rising cost of tuition and expenses, even students from economically sound families are struggling to meet all undergraduate cost.
Date: Saturday, June 4th, 2016
Day of Registration: 8:00-9:15am
Race Time: 9:30am
Course Description: The course is moderately hilly with grassy trails and asphalt. The course mimics a cross country course on the Riverside school grouds and nearby streets. Water is available at the finish line. The walkers will have the same start as the runners, but will turn off the course and walk through downtown Taylor as they return to finish the walk at the football field.
Proceeds: The money raised from this event benefits the Vikings Helping Vikings Non-Profit Foundation.
Awards: The top three male and female runners will receive trophies. The top three male and female runners in each of the following age groups will receive awards:
Post Race: The Vikings Helping Vikings Annual Festival will start at 10am. Race awards will be given out at the festival. Activities will include refreshments, grilling and BBQ, basket raffles, a 50/50, bake sale, kid friendly activities, and live entrainment. Something fun for the whole family!
