Pre & Post on the Coast presents "Kids' SuperTri," a non-competitive triathlon for kids. The event is open to all participants 15 years of age and under. 

Competition: This is a non-competitive event.  All participants will receive a t-shirt and completion award. 

Who Should Participate: The goal of this event it to introduce kids to the sport of triathlon.  The event should be a positive experience for the child/athlete.  It is recommended that children/athletes who participate should be capable of completing all designated events for their appropriate age category.

Swim Heat Starts : The parent/guardian is responsible for getting their child/athlete to the event with sufficient time to be ready for his/her swim heat. Families will be notified by email of heat times no later than one week prior to the event.  It is recommended to check in for the event no later than 1 hour prior to the child’s/athlete’s swim heat Children/athletes who are late or miss their designated swim heat time will not be able to participate in the event.

Swim Aids: Swim aids such as kickboards or approved flotation devices will be allowed. Fins will be allowed for participants 6 and under.  The participant must provide all swim aids and fins.

Adult/Parent/Guardian Swim Assistance : Swim assistance (swimming with the child/athlete) will be permitted for 6 and Under and Challenged athletes only. Only one adult/parent/guardian will be allowed in the pool area for all participants.

Training Wheels : Training wheels will be allowed.

Physically Challenged Athletes : The parent/guardian of a physically challenged athlete should contact [email protected] to make arrangement for any special needs.

Relays: There are no relay teams. Only one child/athlete is permitted per race number.

Refunds: There are no refunds or transfers of registration.

Transition Areas: One Adult/Parent/Guardian is permitted in the Transition Area during the race. Volunteers will be present to assist the athletes.  It is recommended that adults/parents/guardians of older children/athletes stay out of the transition area.

Event Gear: All participants must wear a bike helmet.  Shoes are required for the bike and run events.  Sunscreen is recommended even if it is foggy!

Bib Numbers and Tattoos: Participants will be given a bib number that will be pinned on to their shirt or shorts with safety pins provided at check-in on May 18.  Participants will also be given number tattoos that will be worn on their upper arm and calf area.  Tattoos and bib numbers will be available for pick up on May 16 at Brazzle Berry in Half Moon Bay (Time TBD) or at check-in on the morning of the event.  Tattoos can be applied the night before the event to save time on event day morning.

Earphones/Earbuds or any Music Device: The use of earphones/earbuds or any music device is not allowed for anyone participating in the event

The bike course: The bike course will loop around the Half Moon Bay High School property. The course will be marked. Maps will be available the morning of the event. For all participants 7-15 years old, there will be a short portion of the bike course that is not paved. Bike distances have been modified from last year; please note the new distances below.

Registration and Pricing:

Registration is $55 per person, $50 per person for sibling groups of 2 or more. Registration will increase to $65 on the day of the event.
