intimidated by swimming can even race in a duathlon or join a relay team. This indoor triathlon is also a great way for seasoned participant to maintain their fitness level over the winter months leading into the summer season.

Your recorded distances during the swim, bike, and run portions are calculated and combined to give you a final, total distance. Duathlon competitors will complete an additional 15 minute run in place of the swim.

SWIM
Swimmers will be staged in the pool area prior to the start. At this point all athletes will need: Goggles, Swim cap, Suite. The Tri will take place in lanes 3, 4, 5, & 6. Splash and Dash participants will compete in lanes 1 &2.
1st Transition Swim to “Bike” or “Dash”
The participants will exit from the pool to the team locker rooms located right outside the competition side of the natatorium. This is a 10 min transition. Participants will be directed on where to go by volunteer staff and reminded to walk to ensure safety. They will make their way directly across to the gym where a volunteer will let bikers know when to begin. Dash will report to track or treadmill where they will be directed by a volunteer on what to do and when to start. Water and Gatorade will be available at this point.
2nd Transition Bike to “Run” or “Swim”
This is a 5 min transition. It will be recommended to participants not to return to the locker room and report directly to the track or treadmills. If participants are using different shoes for bike and run they have to bring both shoes with them after the first transition. Dash participants will report back to team locker rooms. A volunteer will let runners or swimmers know when to begin.
Duathlon participants will follow the above format, but will start off running the track or treadmill replacing the “Swim”
