- Start your Independence Day festivities early this year with some good fun and exercise! On July 3rd, the Morris Downtown Development Partnership (MDDP) will be bringing the 7th annual Liberty 5K Run/Walk back to downtown Morris!
The Liberty Run 5K Run/Walk will take place at 7:15 p.m. in downtown Morris. Beginning at Liberty and Jefferson streets, the course will take you through Nostalgic Downtown Morris, area parks, neighborhoods and returns downtown on Liberty Street. The course is completely paved, primarily flat, with some slight hills for a fast and enjoyable race. The Liberty 5K is a chip timed race on a certified course. The event honors, supports and recognizes our military personnel. .
The cost is $25.00 for pre-registered participants (by June 26) and $35.00 for those who register the day of the race. You may only register online on or before June 26.
