Light It Up Blue Columbus 5K Run and Fun Walk is a Tri-City collaboration between the Autism Hope Center and the Autism Society of Alabama. The event includes a 5K Run and a family friendly walk to celebrate World Autism Awareness Day on April 2nd. This community event supports Greater Chattahoochee Valley families that are affected by autism. The event will take place Saturday, April 2, from 9am-12pm in Downtown Columbus, GA. We look forward to seeing you there!
Keeping Funds Local – World Autism Awareness Day is a day of raising awareness of the 1 in 68 children diagnosed with autism; and a day of promoting acceptance and education of the disorder. This event benefits both the Autism Hope Center and the Autism Society of Alabama; all proceeds will stay here in the Chattahoochee Valley, where more than 2,000 individuals are affected by autism. Participation provides you an opportunity to support these local families. Autism Hope Center and Autism Society of Alabama are 501(c)3 non-profits and all donations are tax deductible. If you require a tax letter, please ask our staff at event check-in.
