Beautiful scenic country triathlon, Olympic and Sprint lengths on Sunday morning, June 12th beginning at 730 am. Saturday, June 11th there will be a Kid's Splash and Dash, and clinics for athletes in swimming, transitions and bike course. The event ends with an old-fashion country BBQ and celebration.
Course Information:
Olympic Swim:
.9 mile course in beautiful Sebago Lake around an island (see course maps for the swim course diagram). Average water temperature is in the mid 60s at that time of the year.
Sprint Swim:
1/3 mile triangular course in beautiful Sebago Lake. Average water temperature is in the mid 60s at that time of the year.
Bike:
The Sprint bike course will be a 13.8 mile lollipop course with varied terrain, including two climbs, on low traffic country roads. Enjoy views of Mount Washington and Sebago Lake. There are no aid stations, but there will be lead and sweep vehicles. All athletes must be off the course by 10:45 a.m. If you are not finished with the bike leg by that time, you will be picked up by a sweep vehicle and returned to the transition area. You will be allowed to finish the rest of the race, but your time will be considered unofficial and you will not be eligible for awards.
The Olympic bike course will include two loops of the sprint bike course, without returning down Point Sebago rd. Total distance is 24.2 miles.
Run:
3.3 mile course through the resort, slightly uphill on the way out and downhill on the way back. There will be aid stations approximately every 1 mile.
The Olympic run course will include two loops of the same run course as the sprint run and will be approximately 6.5 miles.
