The second Powerman North America National Championship returns to the beautiful destination location of CoCoa Beach, Floridas Alan Shepard Park. A short drive to all the amusement parks in Orlando and Kissimmee Florida. There is certainly no shortage of things to do and see with the entire family. An easy flight into Orlando and then jumping on 520 to the venue which is at the end of 520.
A great post race party with great food, beer, live entertainment provided by one of the best restaurants anywhere along the beach in the Sandbar Sports Grill which is conveniently located right at the finish line for all your pre race meals and beverages and some great fish tacos.
7:30 a.m. start time - Powerman athletes
8:00 a.m. start time - Sprint Powerman athletes
Smooth, Flat and Fast is the best way to describe the course. The multi-loop format will allow friends, family and spectators the opportunity to view you racing several times.
Your first and second run will keep you on a closed loop bringing you by the venue, friends, family and spectators 2 and 4 times along with a section on the beach before the finish. This is all about fast here, flat, out and back along the ocean.
Your bike course will be equally fast, picturesque, but will feature one "bump" in the bridge over the lagoon on 520. You will climb over the lagoon on the bridge, turnaround at the base and fly back over the top. This too will bring you right back to the venue for each of your 2 or 4 loops. Totalling 20 and 40 miles.
