The 21st annual Santa Rosa Island Triathlon will be held on October 1st, 2016. This classic race which sells out each year features one of the most scenic courses in triathlon with a swim in the Gulf of Mexico, a bike ride through the dunes of the Gulf Islands National Seashore and a run through the classic neighborhoods of Pensacola Beach.
The swim is 600 yards, the bike is 18 miles and the race concludes with a 3.1 mile run. The post-race celebration has been called "the best party in triathlon" and includes great food, awards, beverages and our classic Tikis for the big winners.
From the east or west, U.S. 98 leads to Gulf Breeze, Florida. Look for the signs to Pensacola Beach, drive over the Bob Sikes Bridge (and the inter-coastal waterway) and proceed to the first traffic light. Casino Beach is directly between you and the Gulf of Mexico.
