2016 YWCO Kids Tri the Y Youth Triathlon:
The course is ideal for first time participants or seasoned triathletes and features an indoor pool swim, closed bike course and flat run course. Three age groups will participate in a time trial start. The bike course will be closed to traffic and monitored by Athens Clarke County police. The run leg is on the YWCO property and features a mix of grass and trails. Distances are 6-8: 50yd/2mi/600yd; 9-11: 100yd/3mi/1mi; and 12-15: 150yd/4 mi/1.3mi.
Course Information:
The swim takes place in an indoor pool, the bike course is a flat looped course which is closed to traffic and monitored by Athens Clarke County police, and the run mostly shaded with a mix of trails and grass.
Directions:
The YWCO is located at 562 Research Drive, just off the loop and adjacent to UGA on the northeast side of Athens. Parking is available on the YWCO campus before 6:45 a.m. Additional parking is available in the brick office complex across from the YWCO and is accessible from Barnett Shoals.
