Kids ages 4-11: Kids can wear lifejackets and their parents are allowed to help in them in the pool. They will have 10min to complete the swim portion and if they finish early they get a longer transition period (if they finish in 10min they get a five minute transition period to the track), they will also have a five minute transition period from the track to the gym where the scooter relay will occur. The waves of participants will begin at 10:30am.

Youth ages 12-14: Youth will have 10min to complete the swim portion and if they finish early they get a longer transition period (if they finish in 10min they get a five minute transition period to the cycle stadium), they will also have a five minute transition period from the cycle stadium to the treadmills. There will be multiple waves of participants with the first wave starting at 10:30am.

The wave start times may vary but will generally follow:

Wave 1: 10:30am                Wave 4: 11:00am

Wave 2: 10:40am                Wave 5: 11:10am

Wave 3: 10:50am                Wave 6: 11:20am

Directions:

We are asking that you arrive 20-30min prior to your start time so there will be plenty of time for check-in, familiarity of guidelines, and warm-up. Please be in the pool area ready to go 5-10min prior to the start of your wave. We will have lockers available for use.

We are scoring each event individually; then we add each events score together to get the final tally. Whoever has the highest points/score at the end wins.

o   Scoring is done by place- if there is 90 people and you get 1st (farthest distance or fastest swimming time) you get 90 points, if you get 2nd you get 89 points, and so on…

o   If there is a tie for a place (lets say 1st) and there is 90 people then both swimmers are awarded the top score of 90 points- the next finisher who is 3rd will be awarded 88 points

o   The top 3 male and female scorers will be awarded prizes

Other Info:

Light snacks and refreshments will be available for participants after the event in the Wellness Education room.
