Running : Run 6.2 Miles |
Family friendly 5k or 10k run or walk. Come out and brave the cold as the course takes you through Redmond's Beautiful Dry Canyon. All ages, and levels are welcome and encouraged. Strollers are welcome on course.
A great addition to the Polar Bear Fun Run & Expo is the “First Responder 5k Challenge”. Open to any Law Enforcement Officers, Fire, First Medical Responders, Wildland Firefighters, or Military personnel in our Central Oregon community. Teams are comprised with 5 participants (mixed Male/Female okay), the team with the fastest combined time in the 5k distance wins the challenge. Last year, Sunriver Fire took Tommy the Bear home. Who will take him home this year!?
Awards will be given to the overall top three winners and top three finishers per age group. Every child who participates receives a ribbon!
After the run come inside and warm up with complimentary hot chocolate and coffee at the Polar Bear Expo while you meet and talk with local health, fitness, and family friendly businesses and learn about services and or products they have to offer. Raffle items will be provided by Vendors from the Expo! Hot food and beer garden for our 21+ friends, at an additional cost. The Polar Bear Expo is open to everyone and is free admission, so if running is not your family’s thing they can still come out and cheer for you and stay warm inside!
Registration includes: Professionally timed tracking by Eclectic Edge Racing, 1 long sleeve race shirt to the first 350 registrants, 1 complimentary raffle ticket for Polar Bear Expo raffle, swag bag filled with items provided by Expo vendors, and LOTS of fun and smiles!
All proceeds from the Run/Expo support St. Thomas Academy, and goes in part toward educational and technology materials and supplies.
