2016 The Sri Chinmoy Swim/Run Trio:

The Sri Chinmoy Swim/Run Trio at Harriman State Park in upstate New York consists of three races staged simultaneously on Sunday, September 11th:

* Swim-Run (Aquathlon: 1km swim and 10 km run): Participants can race as individuals, or as part of a relay team
* 10 km road race
* 1 km open-water swim race

The 10 km run and 1 km swim are staged on the same course as the Swim-Run. The swim takes place in beautiful Lake Welch; the run is through the forest and follows the shores of Lake Welch.

Through a well marked and beautiful course, home-made lunch, medals for all finishers, and an especially large community of committed and encouraging volunteers, the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team offers a race atmosphere where beginners and veteran athletes alike can excel and transcend their own previous limits.

These races offer an incredible opportunity for athletes who wish to build on their current swim training, running, or triathlon training programs. The races also offer a great option for people considering beginner, mini, or sprint triathlons, minus the cycling! Aquathlons are a formidable introduction to the world of multi-sport competition, and the swim/run race in this event is the perfect introduction!

Sponsored by the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team in conjunction with the NYS-OPRHP Parks System. For the 1K swim and swim/run combined, this year's field is limited to 100 participants!
