The course is an out and back route utilizing the Rock Creek Trail from trail mile marker 7 to mile marker 2 and back. The course is altered from previous years since it will not go up Old Spring Road to the turnaround (the big hill is not part of the course this year). The entire course will be on a paved trail. Assistance will be provided by police officers stopping vehicle traffic for the crossing of Knowles Avenue and Cedar Lane. Other intersections will be marshaled by volunteers where we will have to yield to traffic - please be alert. A waterstop will be located at the intersection of the trail and Old Springs Road (miles 4/6). The miles will be marked either on the ground or by signs as well as the few turns.
