Spooktacular Los Angeles is in Bonelli Park on October 16, 2016!The course immerses the runner in a beautiful setting featuring panaramic views of Puddingstone Lake and lush greenery. This is your opportunity to don your Day of the Dead best for the costume contest!
The 13.1 and 10k have some elevation and are a combination road race and adventure run with varied terrain including pavement, gravel, some trails and even a narrow bridge over a low creek, a favorite of past athletes.
The grassy knolls of the West Picnic Valley are the place to be after the race to enjoy refreshments and exhibitors. The finish line is awash in glittering Day of the Dead themed medals. The 13.1 athletes receive larger finishers medal and technical shirts and the 10k and 5k receive cotton shirts and finisher's medals. Awards for 1, 2, 3 overall in 13.1, 10k and 5k receive additional medal and gift certificate. Also, there are also age group awards 1, 2, 3 in 13.1, 10k, and 5k. (That's over 200 additional medals up for grabs!) Because runners like to do good deeds, we also collect gently used clothing and breakfast items forthe San Gabiel Valley Coalition for the Homeless and a portion of the race proceeds are donated to the San Dimas High School Girls Water Polo Club. http:/www.wiz-events.com
