2015 GE Run Thru the Woods Directed by the South Montgomery County Family YMCA
A local Thanksgiving morning tradition, GE Run Thru the Woods, directed by the South Montgomery County Family YMCA, has supported local non-profits with the goal of strengthening The Woodlands, Spring and Oak Ridge communities for 26 years. The event brings thousands of community members together for entertainment and run/walks designed for all ages.
Multiple race options are available so everyone in your family can participate: 1 Mile Children's Run; 3 Mile Run, 5 Mile Run UTSATF certified; and 3 Mile Walk.
Awards:
Cash awards and prizes awards to Overall top 3 finishers in the 5 Mile Run.
Awards presented to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in every age group, male and female in both the 3 mile and 5 mile runs.
Awards presented to 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place finishers in every age group, male and female in the One Mile Children's Run.
Finisher medal presented to everyone as they cross the finish line.
Course Information:
Races begin and end on Lake Robbins Drive, in front of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.
Directions:
Race day parking available at The Woodlands Mall.
Other Info:
Jogging Strollers are allowed.
Complimentary pancake breakfast available for all participants. Beverages, fruit and treats will also be available donated by our Community Partners.
