This is our biggest event of the year! This triathlon is great for beginners and a fun unique event for everyone. Olympic distances will be 1500m swim, 24 mile bike, and 10k run. Sprint distances will be 375m swim, 12 mile bike and 5k run. The swim takes place in a 25m indoor pool.  The bike is a loop course over mostly flat terrain passing several landmark sites at Edwards AFB such as the aeronautical museum, the flight line, and the USAF Test Pilot School. The run is a flat out and back.   This is the 9th race at Edwards AFB, and we've had great success so far. Olympic distance race will be limited to 22 participants and participants will likely be circle swimming in a lane. Olympic participants are required to provide a volunteer in order to count their laps during the swim. Relay will be for sprint distance only. Participants will receive a t-shirt on first come first serve basis.  This race is open to the public, but non DOD ID Card holders must provide additional information in order to gain access to the base.  Additionally, all drivers coming to Edwards AFB must have their drivers license, registration and proof of insurance with them. 

If your guests/spectators are non DoD ID card holders or you, yourself, cannot sponsor them on, please email [email protected] with the following information for anyone of 16 years of age or older: Birth Date, Drivers license NUMBER, Drivers license STATE, LAST FOUR of social security number.  All minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times.  Please contact the race director if you have any questions about base access for you or your spectators. **There will be no refunds or holdovers for this event.**
