What is Holly's Hope?
Holly Lee Allen was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid
Leukemia on October 1st, 2013 and passed away just 3
short weeks later. Holly was a devoted Christian and used
her talents in her professions as a school nurse and church
pianist. She was very devoted to her family, especially her
husband, Blake, and her precious girls, Rachel Marie (3)
and Rylee (1). Holly was very active in the community and
established a reputation as a giver. When the idea of a
fundraiser for her medical expenses was suggested, she
only agreed if it was made an annual event to help others in
need. Thus, Holly's Hope was founded!
Unfortunately, Holly passed away before the inaugural
event, but it went on just the same as Holly would have
wished. In fact, although the event proceeds were for her
medical expenses, we were still able to help others right
away. This year, 100% of the proceeds will be used for
victims suffering from leukemia or other blood type cancers.
Our main focus is for the funds to remain local in the
community because after-all it is the community that funds
this effort! Not only is this foundation geared toward
providing financial support to those in need, we also want to
use it as a ministry, by letting others know they are not
alone and sharing Jesus' love with them. We hope by
doing this, we can keep Holly's memory alive and preserve
her legacy as a giver. To God be the Glory!
