2015 Romp Mud Run & 5k:
• The Romp has expanded this year to also include a 5K Run/Walk. The Romp Mud Run is an obstacle course adventure race through mud, sand, water and land. The race is 2.5+ miles long featuring more than a dozen obstacles, including a rope climb, army crawl across the beach, mud creek stomp, a 25-foot ravine and more! The Romp Mud Run is for participants ages 12 and older. Children under 18 must have parental consent, and be accompanied by a responsible adult on the run. The Romp 5K Run/Walk is a family friendly race along the Lake Lemon property and nearby Unionville roads with beautiful scenery along the route. Leisure walkers and competitive 5K racers are all encouraged to attend. All ages are welcome at the 5K Run/Walk. Participate in either race wearing your Halloween costume as the event will display a family-friendly Halloween theme! The Romp Mud Run & 5K is hosted by and benefits the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bloomington. We invite everyone to participate. The Romp Mud Run & 5K is an exciting experience, fun for groups and achievable for obstacle mud run beginners, but challenging enough for even the most experienced athletes to enjoy. Spectators are welcome to attend for FREE to enjoy the fun! FREE water will be provided to all registered racers, walkers and runners. Food options will also be available for purchase from local food trucks and vendors. Entertainment (music) and games for kids will be on site, as well.
